Quality Control Technician

We are based in Batestown, Drumcondrath, Navan, Co Meath C15Y2TA. 5 mins from Ardee.

Part time position available.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for monitoring product, processes, food safety and quality throughout the entire manufacturing process – Check off all daily production records and ensure verification

Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and Hygiene SOP

Communicate product quality with suppliers – Responsible for Supplier Approval update

Robust personality who will cope in a high demand production environment with the ability to also focus when required in office setting

Ensure internal audits are carried out and non-conformances rectified in identified time scales

Keep up to date with food legislation and any changes which affect the company

Ensuring HACCP principles are continuously met for product safety and process control

BRC, Bord Bia and customer requirements are met constantly and consistently.

Assist in all customer and third-party audits

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

3+ years experience in quality management/leadership roles within a food production environment

Good understanding of HACCP principles, Bord Bia standards and BRC

Experience in managing 3rd party audits (BRC, Bord Bia, customer audits)

Innovative, flexible and enthusiastic.

Part time 2 days per week

Either 2 full days or 4 half days per week 

Normal working hours 8.30am – 5pm
